Monday Morning

It's amazing what the Father does to try to teach His children lessons. We were originally suppose to leave NC on December 19 arriving at our destination on Dec 21. We finally arrived at our destination yesterday, December 27 after many delays. Everyone is healthy and in good spirits. We've been greeted by soooo many since we've arrived who have been more disappointed in our delay than we have been. We will go to the rail station today to spend sometime with the kids before leaving the country early the next morning. He works in mysterious ways. Last Sunday, the message (that we shouldn't have been around to hear) was about "Him changing our plans" and that He has the right. Even though OUR plans change, His do not and they are to bring Him glory. Although our time has been cut short, we have been blessed by the people we have met and friends we have seen since we arrived. :)

Most of our luggage has still not arrived, but it doesn't seem to matter. We are excited to be able to be an encouragement to others and have been blessed through our trials.

Since early Wednesday morning, we'd been airport hopping and struggling to get from one flight to the next. Who knew we'd be spending both Christmas Eve AND Christmas day in Germany... mostly at the airport??? Well, despite all that, we had health and good company, it's been enjoyable getting to know each other as a team, and we got to know several interesting people along the way.
NOW, we have enjoyed our first full day here in town, and it has indeed been a whirlwind! We rode through traffic with a kind taxi driver who was willing to make the extra effort to speak with us in English while sharing his inside perspective of the town. Then we checked out the local spots, took a quick river ride, and ended the day with time together with the workers we know here... we had a late Christmas celebration which meant a LOT to all of us. With plans changing, we cannot help having a short stay here, but we have been able to take in a lot from just today. Erin made sure that we visited folks she's already gotten to know here, even when shopping, so we knew the business we gave their shops was also supporing their friendship. Tomorrow we hope to get to take presents to the kids at the train station and make a few other stops before starting the first leg of our trip home.
Thanks for your support from afar. We'll let you know more details once back :)

We are currently still in Germany. We are now scheduled to arrive at our destination Dec 26 after making another stop. We are all continuing to be flexible, but are VERY anxious to finally be there.

Pray our luggage arrives with us. :)

We are still in route! And VERY anxious to finally arrive even if it's just for a few days. The flight we thought we were all on this morning, only had half of us booked.

Merry CHRISTmas!!!

Thursday

Unfortunately, the team missed their flight in Germany by 1 hour. They will depart Germany tomorrow, arriving in India on the 25th, and their final destination on the morning of the 26th.
Thanks for your continued prayers.
